Diesel Maintenance Technician (B):
- 2nd shift, Sat-Mon, 5:00pm - 5:30am
- 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 5:00pm-1:30am
- Full knowledge and understanding of repairing or replacing all structural, body and mechanic parts of a heavy-duty diesel truck. Must be proficient with brakes, drivelines, and mechanical engine components on tractors. Strong electrical experience with the ability to diagnose & repair all electrical systems, up to and including emissions and engine components. Must possess basic computer entry (PC) skills.
Required Skills:
- Strong team player
- Quick study, self-motivated problem solver with a high degree of integrity and be able perform job duties with direction on a timely basis.
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to diagnose and repair lights (required) and wiring (preferred)
- Ability to perform minor repairs and wear item replacement
- Ability to perform DOT inspections
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of 50 lbs.; standing/walking/stooping/kneeling/8-hour days
- Ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments, noisy conditions and near hazardous chemicals (paint, brake cleaner, etc.)
Job Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Clean driving record
- Must have valid driver's license
- No more than two moving violations (e.g. speeding, failure to yield, failure to stop, violating a traffic signal, etc.) during the previous three years
